Viagem is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that every unit is in working order and guest-ready by performing regular inspections and completing general maintenance and handyman tasks.
The Maintenance Technician Role
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and inspections to ensure that every rental unit is well-maintained and in good working order.
- Complete general repair work, as needed, including, but not limited to, spackling, painting, and light plumbing work.
- Work with Logistics Coordinators in preparing new rental units by performing general handyman tasks which include, but are not limited to, hanging picture frames and assembling furniture such as chairs, tables, and beds.
- Respond to and address urgent guest maintenance requests.
- Troubleshoot issues with appliances, wi-fi, cable, and HVAC, as needed.
- Remove trash and other items from units, as needed.
- Utilize multiple technological platforms to communicate with Viagem team members and 3rd party vendors and to ensure that all assigned maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of maintenance/handyperson experience
- Licensed to service and maintain swimming pools is a plus
- Reliable vehicle a must as you will be traveling to multiple locations throughout the work day
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Independent decision maker
- Must have a tool kit
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Computer database and software skills – an advantage
- Passionate about the small details and perfection
- Independent decision maker who thinks on their feet and is a creative and efficient problem solver
- Versatile attitude and able to change gears at the last-minute
- Exceptionally organized and able to create and work with task lists
